Yes you can, it says that it is made for 260 and 289 v8 and a heavy duty spring for the v6. The 302 would be a perfect swap. Oh and the 200 is a straight 6 not a v6. Ford didn't put a v6 in a 1966, mainly because Ford didn't have a v6 in 1966.

The leaf springs would not impact your choice in engine... unless you are pulling like 450 horsepower(which I doubt a 302 could do on a budget). If you are pulling that much power, traction bars would usually add more control and reduce chance of damage when accelerating.

Watch your front COIL SPRINGS though, make sure you have small block springs and not big block springs. Picking the wrong ones will make your car sit awkwardly and handle rigidly.

I can see a serious problem with this project if you are doing the work.You better get someone to help you or talk to your mechanic for you.If you think you have a V 6 in a 66 stang ....... a V would mean 3 cylinder on each side of the engine........... 6 cylinders in a row is.............. comon now u can get it ............ YESSSSS an INLINE 6
