I'm about to have the money I need for my exhaust (Tax refund :headbang: )
I'm still in a toss up about my exhaust. Is the Roush really that loud? I feel like flows might be too tame? Should I just suck it up and buy Borla? Sucks looking up reviews that say "Unbelievable Drone" then the next review says "Virtually no drone"

I just installed the roush axel backs 30 minutes ago and they sound amazing! But that just my opinion. I researched for 4 months before I chose the roush system. I wanted something a lot more aggressive than stock so for me it was a toss up between the ataks and roush. 500+ $ for an exhaust that's just a bit louder or deeper than stock wasn't worth the $ to me.The car sounded pretty good out of the gate Imo.

I have a 2012 Performance pack with the pypes catback sfm79. Sounds pretty good for a V6. Very clean and really no raspiness to speak of. Only issue was hangers on the passenger side. They had to be cut off, lined up, and rewelded to the piping to line up with mounting points.

I'm also hearing that a lot when looking at reviews. Like half of them say oh the hangers had to be repositioned or use a towel as a buffer between the exhaust and body then screw it in to center the exhaust. Kind of weird.

Unless u have headers like me then Roush Axlebacks are perfect trust me I've had Roush, flow's, magna, ford racing and soon Borla. So far I only like Roush and ford racing.

Just got back from my first drive with the roush and holy **** they sound great! Brought it to 6k and sweet music to my ears! My wife loves the pop a gurgle between shifts and was encouraging me to run through the gears! I was ready to hear defining loud like some say they are but they really aren't. Very easy to drive around town with if you keep it under 3k. It's a new beast!

+1. Could not be happier! Excellent choice. I'm sure the borla are good also but big $$$$$$.

My exhaust guy actually shortened the pypes piping between the factory mid pipe and the mid mufflers. Once he did that, the clearance of the piping to the body was good, no towel or buffer needed between the two. Like I said the hangers were adjusted a little. I also have the 4" axle exchange DS from Am. Had no clearance issues with it. That should address any questions with the Pypes setup. The Roush axel back sounds good too, just too poppy and gurgly for me.

All are good choices listed before me, but I chose to go with Bassanni from AM. They sound deep with no rasp or that tingly "ricer" sound, they come with a "lifetime" warranty, and I installed in under an hour in the dark (couldn't wait to get on) with no problems at all putting them on. Limited videos for them, but well worth the money.
