so then they also said the kit i rented is universal and should work just fine that thats what everyone uses i saw a guy on a forum use the kit i rented on his 4cyl foxbody
I even asked on v6mustangsonline an even ortiz said i needed that tool and told me how to do it and still im having trouble /:
Yeah you need one with a claw on it or the ones that screw into the pulley

Haha i was thinking about it in my head and was just like hmm no
The one you have is correct. I just used the same one to replace my water pump a couple weeks ago.
So what am doing wrong lol if i have the correct tool
you dont need to pull the pulley off to change the water pump. just unbolt the whole alternator/power steering bracket and lean it out of the way.
I put mine back on with a hammer. No one may want to take advice from me after reading this post. But it worked great.

BTW Two wrenches and a monkey or a contortionist

That looks like the power steering pulley to me the water pump one should unbolt with 4 bolts and just about fall off.
I was using the wrong puller i was using the one that puts it back on lol but its off now took the water pump off tmrw im piecing it back together an no its not easier removing the whole bracket wit alt. and pwr steering pump its much easier just removing the pulley lol
