I had a nitrous backfire, I installed a new manifold and maf. Car runs great at wot 12.8 a/f and 11.4 a/f on nitrous tune. But at idle its giving me the most fits. It'll idle correctly at 14.9 1/3 of the time other time it'll run lean to where the gauge won't read or to rich till the car dies, I'm getting 40psi in fuelrail and I have great oil pressure. Could i have burnt up any other sensors to help idle?

P0405 is because I have an egg delete, p1000 is normally also, and I don't remember if p0405 is normal but I have 90mm lmaf with built in iat sensor. And I got a new lmaf put on today still running rough. Idk if I burn any other sensors, intake manifold vacuum leak somewhere, or bent valves maybe?

It looks like the Intake Air Temperature sensor has failed.

Do you still have an EGR valve?

No egr

I was running a o2 reading lean code but I think the new maf fixed it.

Hmm. I got a new lmaf put on today. Those have built in iat sensor built inside the maf right?

I don't know. But if there isn't a place to plug in the connector for the IAT, the computer is not going to be able to receive that information.

I have no alone iat sensor. It's in the maf.

Intake doesn't even have a spot for the iat to be at.

But being that makes sense. Car seems to want to die when it's at driving temps and fan kicks on/thermostat opens/closes.

Mine is a little bit different of a setup because of the Bullitt manifold, but there should be an IAT sensor upstream from the MAF sensor.

Hmm. Never had one. Not even a hole for the sensor. I believe mine is built in the maf. I've read the temps thru data logs a while back and everything.

Yes. You are correct. Apparently they integrated the IAT into the MAF in 2002.

First, you should carefully inspect the wiring and the connector for any signs of damage. If that all checks out, I would suspect that the MAF/IAT is defective.

Did you say that it is brand new?

Ok so I need to see if I am getting power to the maf from the red and black wire. I have a tester but not sure what setting to set it on
