My dad brought a 1977 Mustang Cobra II home for a friend.The guy we brought it home for,no longer wants it and my dad is stuck with it. However the lady that previously owned it will not sign the title to us because shes afraid the guy who origanally wanted it will get it ( shes his ex wife). I have someone who is intrested in it. The title and car is currently in PA and the prospective buyers in NC. Is there any way around not having the title signed by the lady and its still being legal? Any ideas about how to go about this?

It is still the lady's that your dad got it from because she hasn't signed it over. So he needs to give it back to her. (I am assuming no money changed hands yet). If so, then your dad can sell it to the person interested in it, and the lady will have to sign it over to your dad. Or if he gets the money from the person interested in it, then the lady can sign it over directly to that person. (but she doesn't have to do it that way). I live in MO, it may be different in your state.

If it's her name on the title her " x " can't touch it.
She has to sign the title before anyone can purchase it legally.
