I've used armour all wash n wax, worked right. Using turtle wax ice wash now. I like the smell and ease of rinse but it doesn't seem to remove as much bonded dirt, a good clay bar fixes that.
Carnuba wax will look the best, but last for only a few weeks. I use meguiars ultimate liquid wax (it's synthetic) because it goes on real easy and lasts for two to three months. It really depends what you want and how often your willing to wash and wax. I wash every week or two with quick details after each wash, full wax every three months. Clay in spring. I find this keeps the paint looking like new without spending all my free time washing!
For best protection and look: wash, clay, rinse, polish, rinse, seal/synthetic wax, carnuba wax, and a spray detail if you like. This process takes me six hours by hand but the car looks better then new! Layering carnuba over synthetic will give best look and protection.
Everyone will give you different favorite products and wash schedules so try a couple products and see what you like. Nothing is 'the best' just 'best for you'. Auto geek.com is a great detailing resource. Sorry for being long winded but I hope this helps!
