My check engine light came on last night. After a little discussion with Autozone, they pulled my code P1131 and said I had to talk to the dealer to find out what it ment. Anyone know?

I am thinking of doing a dual exhaust without cats. Should I just buy some MIL eliminators? If not, How do I test which O2 sensor is out?
Thanks

I dont know which o2 sensor. I believe its one of the 02 sensors in the Headers which even if u got mil elimnators you would still have the header sensors.

So you should either get them tested at a shop, or get a multimeter and test them your self.

My check engine light came on and it came up with a P1131 code. I just cleaned the MAF sensor and it works fine now.
Well freakin win, now we can hop in the time machine, go back 6 years and fix the car.

---I'm playing by the way, thanks for the information---

Theres no need to elimante the cats, ask me, i did it and now i cant pass inspection and its a pain. If you do get rid of them, you want to turn of Bank 2 of the oxygen sensors and you should be fine. You dont even have to get MIL eliminators which i heard you CANT get anymore since the goverment made them illegal about a year ago.

just get a high flow cat, what kind of exhuast set up are you running now?

Code p1131 is bank 1 or vacuum leak

Im the girl who originally said my check engine light came on and went off, well its back on now, alot of you guys told me it would be my O2 sensor on the passenger side but thats not true, they looked up that code and its bank 1 which means its the driver side right behind the manifold. Just thought you guys would like to khow. I was told to also get some starter fluid and spray all around the engine and hoses, if the car revs up on you then you have a hose leak, thats the cheapest way to tell.
Hope this is helpful, because Ive been trying to figure it out for a while. I dont know why ppl are saying replace the O2 on passenger side because when you pull up the code it simply says vacuum leak or oxygen lean on bank 1 which is driver side. Its easy to replace yourself and Im a girl if that says anything.

nope, bank 1 is passenger's side, bank 2 is drivers side. Bank 1 is always the side with cylinder #1. Bank 2 is the opposite side.
