The switch on the Christmas tree light string went kaput.

All of us Mustang owners have a few extra random parts laying around. So, I look a 12 volt switch and a hobby box and fabricated a new switch. Viola! Let there be light! ImageUploadedByMustang Evolution1482461649.807706.jpg

I applaud your ingenuity... But I would be cautious about using a 12v switch in a 120v electrical system.
Definitely keep an eye on it, and make sure that it isn't getting hot!

Opps. It is a 125 volt, 20 amp switch.

I remember checking the switch when I assembled the parts, but typed the wrong info. Thanks!

Don't worry about it. Just be ready with video equipment, that tree fire would be good internet entertainment! Just joking of course, I wouldn't wish a house fire on anyone.

All is still good at the end of the Christmas tree lights season. No fires. No overheating. No electrocution. Oh, happy days.
