I know there is different types of clay like mild, fine, etc. I would think I should go with fine?

I just did my car. I thought it was clean before. I clay barred it then polish then wax. The results were amazing just be prepared to rub your fingers off!

mothers/meguiars works good for the money.

wash with dawn detergent (orig) first, then clay bar, then wash with dawn, then rubbing compound to smooth out the swirls (two to three times). Make sure its clear coat SAFE! and 3m makes a good one.

You can get it buffed if you have access

after that dawn it again then dry 100% and go about yoru wax/protection how ever you want.

I heard dawn is bad for clear coat?
