Hey everyone , haven't posted I'm a while, took a nice 21 bday vacation and been a little beat out for a while, but I'm back and better than ever! A while back I started having that common tob squeak, slight pressure to the pedal made it go away, I was advised to adjust my clutch using the technique where you push clutch to the floor, hold the quadrant hook and pull up on the clutch till I hear a click. Now if I do it only 1 click then the TOB squeaks more often than when the clutch was at the normal position, 2 clicks and it doesn't make TOB noise at all it seems but it does grab rather friggin high up. My question is I've heard that 2 clicks could actually do harm to something else in the clutch, is this true? Also at 2 clicks is it normal for the clutch to grab so high up, and the TOB squeaking more at 1 click indicate anything? Thanks guys.

Yes it grabs almost uncomfortably high

They seem to be pretty close. They both say that too tight is bad and having to tighten it too much probably means something is not cool with your clutch, pressure plate, or TOB.

Check to see if your bearing is dry.
My TOB squeaked from a dry fork so I shot some grease into there and fixed the issue. It ended up being bad and needing replaced, but (AUTOMOTIVE SAFE) grease fixes the squeak until you can repair it.

How can I get a shot of grease in there ?

Ya know I decided to go manual because every auto I've owned has always developed pretty bad tranny issues with very hard shifting or slipping, now I've had nothing but clutch issues on my manny :(...it's a lose lose for me :(.

Sorry bro! It was always like that for me with performance cars and auto tranny's. I think they are better than they were in the 80's but companies are always trying to spend the least amount on products these days that the parts just eek by. If you drove it like grandma Jones, it would probably last a long time. We all know granny Jones ain't buying a Mustang.

I don't know if I would do that. If you end up getting some on the clutch disc, your clutch will start slipping.
Very solid reasoning. It definitely isn't the safest thing in the world, but it works it you're just waiting on parts.

Yeah, I think if you can be sure to get it on the TOB only, it's helpful in this situation. Searching the web, it seems some do this with their suspension grease guns because many hose tips will reach the TOB. All you have to work with is what you can see through the clutch cable cover.
