Ok. So here is another question for everyone. I own Chilton & Haynes manuals for my car. I am missing something here. Im trying to find out what a particular mounting bracket is used for on my mustangs rear end. Its NOT the upper or lower control arms. Its Not the shocks mount either. It is directly in front of the resr shock if you are looking at it crom the rear of the car. If you are looking at the side of the wheel, it is right behind the rear brake drum and sits on the top part of the axle. Whatever it is, my car doesnt have it mounted. Any ideas? The manuals do not show what is suppose to be on there either

It's the quad shock. It's not necessary. It just helps prevent wheel hop. Once you get good control arms you can toss them. Lots of people remove them for tire clearance. If you have wheel hop issues I would reinstall them.
