I'm trying to buy a used car, for my first car and i was looking at this supercharged 97 Mustang and here are the specs:

1997 ford mustang gt
vortec v2 sq trim blower pullied for 6-8lbs
fmu and t-rex booster pump
autometer fuel and boost gauges
trz upper and southside lower control arms
bbk specific rate lowering springs
steeda front brakes with 13in slotted rotors and new ceramic pads
new msd wires, autolite plugs, and fuel filter
car is clean!
motor has 39k on it and trans has 27k on it according to a previous owner

Now today i got an email saying this

you can pick it up today as soon as i pull the engine, trans, blower, rear end, interior, fuel lines, wiring, doors, decklid, front and rear bumper covers, hood, fenders, suspension and glass. but i'll be done around 7 or so. you have a trailer?

So what's going on, why would he pull all the parts out of the car and even so would it still be a grab to buy those parts? How would i get a mustang body, and put it all back together?

Reply back and tell him you'll pick it up after he removes the floorboard so you can drive it like a Flintstone car.

He's just saying the price you asked for isn't even worth the money he put into it to get it set up like that. He's doing it in a schmuck way too.

I would assume you're no longer interested in the car, so reply with something smart-a** like:

"Thank you for taking the time to do all this stuff and take all the parts out for me. I was instructed by my mechanic to stop by with a hammer and check out the remaining parts to the car. If the car does not withstand the hammer test, I will have no choice but to give you the money to bang your wife. (This will also pay off my tab with her).

Thank you for your time!"

Good luck!
Matt

try sending your car to a body shop and they can install the parts right back, but i have no idea why they would do that

It will not still be a grab no one buy's parts these days and since there are now cars that are suped up people will not buy parts from a Mustang unless they are car was spoilt or they didn't have much cash to buy a new car so you will probaably not get much you want my advice DO NOT BUY IT.

Sounds to me like you are being messed with. Obviously you don't want a car with no engine, etc.

Tell the seller to save his energy pulling parts, the car deal is off. Then go find a legitimate dealer and start looking.

I have a deeper answer.

first, u offered him too little and it is his "subtile" way of telling u to go away.

second, thinking about buying a car like that is a macho thing.
If that is what u need for your ego, go for it.
BUT, save a lot of money for the insurance, gas, speeding tickets, etc. Also u might want to purchase some life insurance.

then think about all the other fun things u missed out on cause u had no more money to spend.

sounds to me like you shot him a very low price for what he has, and his way of telling you no deal, was to say it would only be sold at that price is if he takes all those parts off the car. what price was he asking and what price did you offer?

You're dumb, he PAYED for the extra parts and is taking all of his stuff back and selling you the body of the car. Sounds like you need some help.

he's only selling you what he hasn't pulled. when he says pull he means hes taking it for himself, you get whats left.
