The Typhoon intake does offer more HP CAPABILITY than a Ford Racing PI. However this horsepower is acheived by shifting your RPM operation range to a higher RPM. If your engine is set up to run a higher RPM with the proper cam and valvetrain along with the proper set of heads then yes this intake will help improve your power numbers. If your heads and intake are stock then the Typhoon will most definatly kill your HP and Torque and you will lose performance ability rather than gain it.
