So, I have to put a board near my car cause the door when opening, will not stay at a certain point, it'll either close, or on an angle will hold, but either the spring/hinge is no good, or the bushing for it entirely. It'll just slam shut otherwise, or hit the rocks, and I have enough body work to patch. It's a 03 v6.

I'm unsure how to approach it, it's just annoying, and I want to fix it. So I don't know what to replace entirely. Any tips?

I mean unfortunately, I can't deal with it, so I need to fix it. Just not sure what it's really called.

I have the same problem. The spring on the lower hinge is worn to the point that it does not apply any pressure to the roller. I just purchased a replacement lower Hinge from American Muscle for my 2000. I plan on getting it painted first and then installing it.

Be aware that price from CJ Pony parts on the hyperlink is for all four hinges. I only purchased the single lower hinge because it was all I needed.
