You would for sure want to build the brake system up, add a hydraulic e-brake, shave weight where you can, gear car properly as well as making sure your nice and safe trying to do so.

Not quite. With the right know how as well as tools almost anything at a local boneyard could be used to create a kit.

Don't let these guys shy you away from drifting! Get after it in that Mach! Having said that, it's going to cost you big in the drivetrain upgrades an tires.

You really don't need a lot of HP to drift ..

Mainly suspension alignment proper brake parts

Who said you need alot of HP. Maybe you thought drivetrain upgrades means performance upgrades? I meant suspension, rear end, brakes, wheels and tires.. Etc etc

you have an awesome mach. id hate to see it smashed...but more than that id love to see a pic of that fine piece of a$$ roasting rubber around some corners!

Lol. It was almost as if that bumper was attached with Velcro. :lol:

I'd go do an autocross or two first Slow. That way you can get an idea of what kind of cone damage that you're willing to accept.
There are two guys that regularly drift a brand new white BMW at Marina and I've seen that car looking a mess at the end of the day... cone rash EVERYWHERE, front splitter knocked off, flat tire, etc.
Those dudes aren't afraid to use that car...
And the ear-to-ear grins on their faces as they're going around the course, PRICELESS!!!

It looks like a lot of fun, but, it will take its toll on your car.

Lol we used a local Costco parking lot after hours. The big open lot with those cart racks works perfect for a quick practice session. Just make sure your smart enough to take off after a few mins so you don't get popped. Did this to practice at Costco, Walmart, Kmart ect. We would hit like 4-5 lots a night on the farthest corner away from everything else. Helped improve our skills tenfold.
