I would recommend having someone help you but its pretty easy take out 4 bolts each side drop the drive shaft. Pop the other one in put the bolts back in torque to spec and your good to go!

I don't think so I work at Hennessey and the said its direct bolt and we did one on an older mustang. I'm getting mine in this week so I'll see and let you know

What company are you buying your shaft from? Update?

CFM and lethalperformance carry the DSS aluminum shaft. I have one on my 2012. Very high quality driveshaft.
