I have a 99 Cobra and want to lower it. I plan on getting 18" staggered rims. I know very little on suspension. What would be my best options/starting place?
Do you think only springs would be good. Does your tires wear evenly, I always see people talking about the camber getting out of wack. That may just be on lower drops though.
go with H&R race springs, look at pics etc and if its a bit to low for you then install some maximum motorsports poly spring isolators (will raise it back up a bit)
you will also want the mm 4 bolt cc plates so you can align it.
you have the IRS rear end so if you go to wise on the rear you will need to get the low profile MM IRS bolt or some form of bolt, most never have an issue though unless you go wider than 10" rim (I believe at least)
Thanks, I will look into this. I may go up to 10" but no wider.
