Reading on a lot of forums, seems to be a lot of mystery electrical problems on mustangs... Submitted my problem to stangnet and several other BBS, no help. So, I bit the big one and took it to a dealer.

Car would shut off, no dash display, then work.
One month later.
Car did same thing, dead all the time.
Next day.
Car does it all the time, dead.

Took it to the guy at WAYNE FORD in NJ, they are the largest SVT dealer in the state.. Figure they can fix a V6 with ease..

"Never seen this before except in a car hit by lightning"
This from a car sitting on a street mind you...

Ah well. No result as of yet, he looked a the keys I got from the dealer ..
Seems one is NOT a ford key.. I think they sense weakness and blood now.. I'll let you know the costs. I have to call today.

My code reader said "no link found" ...
Also no grounding problems.
Car is a 2000 with 29,000 miles..
Ford tough huh

If it's something insane like $1200 for a new ECU I'll just flatbed it back home and the save another $4000 and drop a 351w in it.
Be cool to see a stock looking v6 with a 351W in it.

Try Midwest Mustang. They are parting out a 2002 V6 right now. if they have the ECU with the same code and tranny as you, it could be a direct swap.

I would think Terry would prefer us.. He could have his own freaking forum, instead of a few threads lost among the multitudes.

If it's only got 29K on it, isn't it still under factory warrenty? You shouldn't have to pay a dime if the ECU died.
