I think the estimate of 250 hp is close..maybe a bit on the high side. Didn't say what kind of heads you're running, but the poster that mentioned the heads being a bottleneck is right on. The stock Ford heads are very restrictive. Better flowing heads are a "must have" for the Mustang. The Edelbrock RPM intake has a usable powerband of 1500-6500 if I'm not mistaken, is this matched with other parts on the car?

The weight for a 1984 Mustang hatch is about 3000 lbs. Depends on the variant.

250hp respectively.

The biggest bottleneck for your motor is the heads, as you are pre HO. Any heads are better than the stock ones on there right now.

Look through Summit Racing mags and a good reliable head is the GT40 aluminum one for the price.

You have a good choice on the rest of the parts, but once you unlock the breathing potential you will gain about 80hp right there.

Have fun and I believe your looking at 2400lbs

my guess would be about 300. most people way over estimate horse power. might go to the drag strip and get some time slips. with et and trap speed you can calculate horse power with out dyno
