So they had a weird texture and were highly glossy
I tries to sand them, wasn't enough
I tried to use filler
Was overkill
I think I'm going to return all of the supplies that I did t use and save like 50 bucks if you don't know how to use bondo (like me) then I don't recommend
doing it
bad experience with them :(

I think maybe just wet sanding them down with a fine grit would smooth them out and you could then prime and paint them. If you had a few spots that were deep you could just use an auto motive pinholes pot putty filler (used to fill fine pinholes after bondo is finished) and then sand that smooth.

Also spraying them with a heavier weight filler primer and then wet sanding would fill in small grooves too. Blocking (using a block to sand) will ensure that you are keeping it level and only taking off the high parts.

Ya I have ****ed up plenty of stuff... No worries. lol. The aluminum ones rattle pretty bad FYI. I am a fan of the look but not of the annoying noise that rear window louvers produce.

Post some pics of them or send them to me in a pm or something. Maybe I can give you an idea or two on a possible fix...

Haha thanks! I guess making mistakes is part of the process
At least I did t mess up something expensive.

My parents said they'd get them as long as I get them "professionally installed" I bought the Willpak smooth aluminum rear louvers
I'll post how they work out

They did a little more when one of the tabs came off, I didn't put it on well. I usually only notice it when it's really windy, other than that they're pretty quiet
