i have talked to no less than three v6ers with 5spd's that have driven my car and they all tell me my clutch is firmer than their newer one. i have driven an 01, an 00, and an 03. all of which are soft.

i was the original owner and i haven't touched my tranny, clutch, anything 'round them parts. i bought it in feb or mar of 00 and it was made in fall 99. it has 45k miles on it with little racing, and i drive her, i believe, "normally".

can someone tell me if clutches vary, or should i check PN's and see if something isn't stock, or adjusted? thanks.

All I know is that my 2003's clutch also feels soft, (I've got 23,000mi) it makes it easy to spin the rear tires if that's what you want to do. On the other hand, so does my brakes. I mean they stop reasonably well but they're on the spongy side to me.
