I am thinking of buying this guys car, it is a 1977 Mustang II Coupe..the only problem is that the interior is totally stock...so, i was thinking ok it is only $1500 so i could take the money i would be saving and getting it fixed up..but the only problem is i have no idea how much that cost..i would like to put in new seating material, new steering wheel, new gauge cover/plate, etc. things like that...how much things like those cost? the exterior is fine and the engine was just rebuilt so..that's all fine..

it really depends. you can probably get a restored steering wheel for cheaper than if you were to buy a new one, BE SURE THE AIR BAG WORKS i know it's a 77 mustang, but safety first always. the seats, unless the seats are completely destroyed, you can probably restore it as well, way cheaper than replacement parts. than again they are nearly 40 years old. as long as you don't get any expensive electronics i.e. in-dash gps, mad sound system, extremely bright (more often than not annoying to other drivers and waste of money) headlights. you should be fine fixing up the interior. but you should seriously consider buying used parts if you are going to fix the entire interior. but if u want everything completely new, 1500 is probably not enough. hopfully i helped, and good luck with ur car. it's an very nice american classic with a decent amount of potential
