I have a 2013 GT and noticed the first day I had the car that during a hot start it would lug out sometimes just above idle RPM when I would put the peddle to the floor to rap out the RPM's. I was told by a Ford racing tech it could be the delay of the throttle cable or some **** but that isnt a real plausible explanation for me as it doesnt do it every time and does not do it during a cold start. There is no tune and nothing done except Roush axle back exhaust and it did it before I put the exhaust on. The car has less than 500 miles still and I am running premium fuel...... So I am curious if someone else has had a similar issue and if some people who are knowledgeable with these cars or cars in general can tell me why this is doing this.

Exactly its drive by wire there is no throtle cable i beleive everything is computer controlled
yup it is. I noticed this "slightly" stock rarely every now and again but once tuned never again. Very responsive always.

Not sure if they do that in tuning on purpose or just a part of the process.

I was told by a ford racing tech throttle is still controlled by a cable not electronic but I will do more research I'm interested to see what I can find out cause you'd think a ford racing tech should know his $hit

This tech gave you wrong info. Shameful. When you hit the gas pedal it sends a signal to the computer which in turn sends a signal to the throttle body. I use Justin Starkey @ VMP.

The ironic thing is what everyone "feels" in a performance tune is mostly from the changes made to the drive by wire system. Yes there are some other subtle changes made like a bump in timing and some changes made to the cam timing among other things but the biggest feel comes from the DBW system.
