when i have my fog lights on with my headlights im getting unbearable static and cant even hear the radio. when i turn them off everything is fine. anyone have any idea why this is happening? i would just not use them and just use headlights but they are HIDs so obviously i want to get use of them after paying for them.

Sounds like you have a ground somewhere in the wiring for your fog lights. I would track the wiring starting from the lights and going back.
Believe it or not some hid kits are notorious for messing with radio signal. Where are your ballasts located?
sorry i didnt answer i looked at it then closed the app only to not look again..anyway they are drilled in under my hood i can upload pics tomorrow so you can see

i read online somewhere drilling them in messes with reception and you are supposed to use zip ties or double back tape can anyone confirm that? the guys that did these kits for me never again will i go there im sure slosix remembers me ranting about it i was real mad about how they did everything for various reasons anyway im gonna talk to a guy i just found out about and switch to 6k (i have 8k now) and also see if he can take the ballasts out of their current spot and zip tie/use double back tape

Hmm okay. Well ill be waiting!
ill let you know!
It is the truth that when the HID is drilled and directly grounded ballast to car it can cause that. My 93 S10 did it and i fixed it with 3M tape.
