So I have a 2011 v6 and my front bumper got a little scuffed up and has a crack in it, and I got an estimate to fix it at my local dealership and they told me 500-$600

well I can just get a gt bumper for that much .. But where can I find a gt bumper conversion? Do I need a kit? Anyone have links to the gt bumper?

I was looking at the Roush front bumper on AM and it says gt only but what makes the v6 bumper different? If I get that would it still fit?

You can get one from newtakeoff.com but you will need the grille surround from ford.

They will all fit but you have to buy the grille surround and the correct grille.
My front Bumper conversion cost me around $700 on my 2010, but I did the California special.
I found a matching GT bumper on Ebay for $200 + $85 Shipping
CS/GT Grill Surround for $130 + $50 paint
CS Lower Valance with Fog lights $290

Grill surround is the piece between the headlights that holds the grill. On a V6 it's part of the bumper. On the GT, if you look, you'll see it's got a line where it's a separate piece. Some grills, like the Saleen, have them made into the grill.

That's the bumper. The grill surround is the missing upper piece.

While we are on the subject on front bumper cover anybody know where you can get one for a 98 mustang gt? I would from am but some people didn't leave good feedback so I'm unsure

Sorry to jump in
You will need this with a GT Grille Mustang Grille Surround GT 2010-2012 | CJ Pony Parts
Or This with either a CS/Grill or V6 Grille 2010-2011-2012 Ford Mustang GT Grille Adapter
Okay, and if I get the bumper and grille surround, do I still need a grille?

If you get the CS/GT Surround you can use the V6 grille, that is the AA Part number, with the BA part number you will be able to use any GT grille, and like was said before the Saleen Grille might not need either.

Ok. You'll need to just piece it together. Don't bother asking the GT guys. They tend to snob at the idea.

Bumper, lower valence, grille, grille surround, fog light wiring switch from stangmods.com, I think that's it. My car goes in Monday because I hit my dads truck.
I've been piecing mine together for about 3 weeks now. All off Ebay. The way to save the most is to buy a takeoff front bumper from a local boneyard to save on the shipping. The upper grill, and lower valance can be had off of Ebay with free shipping for the most part.

I got the upper grill and it's surround all for under 100 bucks, the lower valance for 110 bucks, and now I just need the bumper. I decided to go with a GT front end because there are so many more options available (grill and lower valance wise) than the early 2011 to 2012 V6's.

It also pays off to have a son that works at a body shop as a painter!

Is dad pissed? Haow much damage to his truck? I know my car would have been driven with the damage until dads truck was fixed first!

Actually I've been driving with duck tape and zip ties holding the under side up since July. I bought him a new tag and the brake light receiver for the trailer. That's all. I just dropped off my car to the body shop and am thinking of painting the rockers body color. As for what my body man does, he gets it direct from the manufacturer so I know its not banged up or anything like you chance with take offs on eBay. I was burned badly once with this.
I know what you mean from Ebay, but I'm expecting this, and pay cheap for it, as my son can repair anything at his shop, and that price is good too!

where ever you decide to buy a bumper cover DO NOT BUY FROM AUTOBODYFIT.COM!!! I bought one from them and recieved a cover I can not even use and they will not do anything to rectify the situation and after rearch they have one of the worst business ratings I have ever seen. Every rating site names them as one of the worst companies to do business with all rate them F
