I just bought a 98 GT. the guy I bought the car from said that the car started "hesitating" when he replaced the fuel pump. It's acting like its running low on gas when it has about half a tank. I'm pretty sure that the guy put in a bad or wrong fuel pump. Any ideas?

Car should have some codes on it. I would check to see if he didnt remove the check engine light first. Then read the codes if any. It may be the fuel level sensor which is probably bad and is separate from the pump in our models

Fuel filter or needs a tune up (plugs, wires) or could be the air supply... Numerous of things lol but I think I'd start with a fuel filter
+1 start with fuel filter, clean up MAF, if that fails go with a tune up, but could be anything, but since you just purchased the car I'd do a tune up regardless if its having problems or not.

I would try changing out the spark plugs, mine was hesitating bad before I changed out mine and I would definitely do the fuel filter as well
