So I got my '14 vert a few months ago, and it's gotten to where anytime I say the words "wash" and "car" in the same sentence, any family members in earshot immediately roll their eyes. But it annoys me that the black panel between the taillights seems to water-spot and collect dirt quickly. I know it's in a bad place where all kinds of road grime will collect on it if it's driven in the rain. But is it safe to wax this panel? I figure if it's painted, then automotive paint is automotive paint and it should take wax just like the rest of the car. But if it's molded in that black plastic, I'm worried that the wax will do something to the finish of the plastic. Anyone wax theirs? Or have other tips for keeping it clean and shiny?
