This isn't for my mustang but my Thunderbird, the cast iron transmision that is in the car is dumping fluid and needs to be rebuilt so I'm looking at my options to swap it to a lighter c6 but need the green dot shift pattern. I've tried to google and get the years down but it contradicts its self a lot. does anyone know what years and cars they came in? thanks!

I think that "green dot" shift pattern (PRN2DL) was only used in 1966. I believe that was the introductory year for what would be known as the C6 transmission.
You can use any C6 that will bolt to an FE engine. The only difference will be, when you shift into drive, the gear selector will indicate that the transmission is in second gear.

Welcome back! :)
