I don't think I'd pay 25 ducks for one...

no point it wont work right, i do belive the injectors are totaly different just for starters... and its not gonna give you squat anyway, unless you are forcing air in no intake mod is worth the money.

Um.. I don't think I agree with you on that Spector. It may be that the MAF from a GT wouldn't help him, but I woudn't say that intake mods are useless unless you're forced induction. You make more power by getting more air. Even if you're not forcing it in there every little bit counts. Cold air induction kits help, period. Plus all the intake and head porting isn't useless. It's making it easier to get more air into the motor and TRUST me that helps a TON.

IN answer to the GT MAF, I don't think it's that much bigger and unless you've got some other work done, like ported and polished heads and/or intakes, I'd say, keep your 25 ducks and save up for something that WILL help you.

Yes you are correct, and actually it will help you in the long run. I have a 96 GT MAF on my car. But you have to get it tuned for it to work correctly. The V6 MAF is limited on the amount of air it can calculate, why I have no idea. But a GT one will work just fine. But like Horse said, a MAF is pointless, but I say it's pointless until you get some serious mods. and finally you maf is 70mm and your tb is 60mm, so your MAF is not your main problem, you TB and intakes are where your air is being bottlenecked. You need to fix everything from there back to the exhaust before you should worry bout your MAF.

it's 10mm bigger I believe. The stocker for the v6 is a 70(?) and the GT is an 80(?)

Yes, those sizes are right.

Rob is exactly right, and a further note, the V6 MAF flows enough for
a mild 4.2 but that is about it. Most guys use the stock V6 MAF right
up to 230+ RWHP so far... everyone I know of has.

I'd upgrade the MAF with a TB upgrade, a 65mm TB outflows the stock MAF,
or close to it, and following the "rules of taper" as I apply them, the MAF
should outflow the TB by a certain percentage, (I use 10%) and the TB can
outflow the engine requirement as well, just to make sure the restriciton is
gone. This is based on actual dyno research. Not my #'s but the restriciton
theory is. I get the #'s elsewhere. (My readings with applied calculations)

well they do add power, but I dont consider 10hp worth while in the long run... go get a cheap cai from ebay and your set.... a maf or a TB on a stock v6 wont add anything.

If you had a big stroker and a stock MAF then it could cost you
alot more than 10 HP, but that is an extreme case. You're right SpecV...

cool. thanks guys. I just saw it listed on the oklahoma board and figured it may have been something to jump on. As usual, my (our) massive knowledge base saved me a couple bucks.

Thanks!!

If it is between the Air Filter and Tail Pipe, it is my specialty

Lots of other people know their stuff too, and ME is growing every day!
