Black powder is fun but messy. A whole lot of cleaning. Lots fire and smoke and you stink like rotten eggs when you're done. My brother and I used to cast our own bullets for the Colts, 36 & 44. That was fun for awhile. Did both ball's and conical.

I'm not a collector, but have a couple of more modern things. Can't find any pictures of most of them now though.

Smith & Wesson M&P Shield Performance Center 9mm
Springfield Armory 911 .380mm
H&K 460D - nice shooting 22lr AR15 style rifle

I had a Smith & Wesson Bodyguard .380 but traded it when I got the Springfield 911. I was the only one who could shoot that pistol, long heavy pull on the trigger.

I just sold my wife's pistol. She wanted to get rid of it because she hasn't been using it. A Ruger Mark III 22/45 lite that she picked out because of the color.

Wood Tool Revolver Automotive lighting Office supplies

It was a nice shooting pistol, but I'm not sorry she decided to get rid of it. Terrible gun to clean. Ruger made an improvement on the Mark IV to take care of the issues cleaning the Mark III and trying to reassemble it.

Alright fellas, history lesson time, who can tell me the significance of these? More specifically the bottom two rifles.

The .32 lever action is around the early to mid 50s. And I will once I get off from work today.

Ok. On the two bottom rifles. They’re Japanese Arisaka type 99’s in 7.7x58mm, commonly referred to as 7.7 jap. Anyway, the flower-like stamp on the receiver is called the Chrysanthemum, normally shorten to mum. It’s the mark of the emperor and imperial Japan. A lot of the rifles have it filed off; this is due to rifles being surrendered to the enemy when they lost the war. Well they would file off the mum due to it being a dishonor to their emperor for surrendering his weapons to the enemy.

I need to get to my buddy's house and take pics (i'm not in a firearm-friendly living situation right now), but I have a Remington 1861 Navy (.36, blackpowder), Spanish Star in 9mm and I'm gonna let him keep the provenanced and all-original No4mk1Enfield w/ accessories (spike bayonet and sheath, shoulder strap, 2 extra magazines, canvas action "cover", spare bolt, cleaning kit, and 60-70 rounds of Israeli .303 from the '40's) as trade for storing my real and airsoft guns (best way to have class III guns without the license).

Nice set. Make sure you get some photos of the enfield. That’s on my list to get. I’m very happy with my NO4MKII unissued.

Anyone have any Mosins to speak of? I know they’re kind of considered dime a doze junk, but I have a soft spot for them.

Why??? I like those, there great. Good for a single pistol or more for larger weapon's.
I originally wanted gun mats, but obviously I have several long rifles so I wanted one big enough for them. That is a slight difficult task that I’m seeing. My gun store has some for much shorter rifles. They’re supposed to be getting a few mats for the long rifles. Though I doubt it’s happening for some reason. I need to check on an update on it to be for certain.

They might be a bit on the big side but check out the Cabela mats for trunks/rear seat floors. All else fails I've used yoga mats during black powder rifle cleaning marathons after CW weekends. They aren't SUPER durable, but they're pretty cheap until you can find a properly sized, actual gun mat.
