I have an escort 8500 and was wanting to hard wire it so the wire would be behind the dash I've heard of wiring to the fuse box has anyone done this? If so could you give me some steps on what to do or how to do it??
Hardwire radar detector??

Could you just look up what volts /Amos it draws

Amps* its draws then wire it to a corresponding fuse (same Amps/volts) using a multimeter to make sure it isn't a constant circuit? Only on when the car is running ? I may be wrong
