I had a SR performance spacer on my 2010 v6 and noticed ZERO performance gain. The only noticeable change was in the intake sound you could hear an audible whistle upon acceleration giving the "appearance" of performance gain.

If you want the whistle go for it it was pretty neat but don't expect any real hp gain.

Why don't you read the reviews on the site from people who have bought it? Most ppl one here probably have never run one and are just going to say what they read somewhere else from another guy who did the same.... Just sayin..

There are many on this site who have paid for, and installed these on their Mustangs (various engine displacement sizes) and have reported little or no gain. My guess is that they simply are no longer around this site, or have not seen this thread, or maybe they just don't respond to these types of threads anymore.

In any event, give the search a try. Search on throttle body spacers.

A big NO! Perhaps they might be considered an appearance mod but certainly NOT a performance mod.

These have been around for over 35 years............and in all the real world testing by knowledgeable people they are a total waste of money and time..................they don't do anything!
But it's your car...........if you believe all of these people's reviews, by all means give it a try.

I had one throttle
Body spacer. I bought it when I was 17 and out it on my Silverado because I was working minimum wage and it claimed get you better mpgs. It did nothing for power nor mpg so it was a total waste. I will add to what th other guy said, it did make a whistling sound, although very low sounding, while driving past 1/2 throttle.

Hey guys I know the throttle bodies are a minimal gain if any but I've been looking at reviews on the throttle body spacers and it seems most the reviews are pretty good. Anyone have experience or thoughts about the spacers?

I actually bought one from a member in here who was making 1"-1.5" spacers out of acrylic molds. From driving to post office to pick it up and putting it on, I did feel a tad bit more "oomph" outta my V6, but I was also running a 3x dataloged tune from BAMA, with I/H/E in the mix, so something was altered when it was installed. I even was given a revised tune after it was installed, which didnt change anything. Also to kinda test what was up I had still had the revised tune installed and had a buddy go in and remove it one random day with out me knowing. When he removed the spacer, there was a very noticeable change in how the car drove after, plus I even got a "wrench light" once or twice, so I put it back in. Altogether it wasnt much for power or gains, but drive feel was changed for me. Also this one was MUCH thicker than the 1/2"-3/4" spacers on the market and his was $50. So for price the ones on AM are shut, dont bother. If you can find one a member has made or just go make your own from a block of wood or something and give it a try LOL 🤣
