Don't get the cheap stuff from autoZone when you need to change something out. It will cost more but dealer parts are number 1 in my book. There are ones that are close. There is a routine maintenance list in your owners manual I believe. Follow all of them and list dates. Also never fix the symptom, fix the cause of the problem. An occasional heavy foot won't hurt if you take care of your baby.

Pretty much what everyone else said: keep up the regular maintenance & don't cheap out on the supplies. My last car was at 200k & the engine still ran strong--never opened beyond the valvecovers. It was the no-longer-supported electrical parts that forced me to move on. This even with a couple of years of regular autocrossing & a life of enthusiastic driving.

Drops oil temps around 30 degrees from what ive read. For those that want to run the car hard in autocross or a track its a really good idea. The Boss and the Track Package come with it for a reason.

That is the number one most beneficial thing you can do to maintain longevity, don't beat up on it... I try not to but I'm still a kid at heart so that side of me comes out quite often lol

If you got a good one, with regular maintenance, you should be fine. If you got a bad one, God help ya...

A redline a day keeps the mechanic away...
Haha I always liked to tell myself that one was true... Seriously though, like these guys already said, keep the maintenance up top notch. Oil filter, plugs, filling at reputable gas stations, drivetrain fluids, etc will keep your Mustang running for a long time. Things like the Boss oil cooler or nice, but unnecessary if you're not beating on your Mustang for longer periods of time. That being said, an oil cooler won't hurt anything, as long as your oil can stay in a normal operating temperature, which it should easily do.

Just wanted to point out the main things, these guys seem have covered everything though!
