Hey all, my name is Frank and I just joined the forum. I am the owner of a 1997 GT; I bought the car in October of last year. It has 73k miles and is in great condition. The pervious owner had added x-pipe mids, HR lowering springs and some nice wheels and NITTO rubber. Since I've owned it I have added new poly-bushings, bump steer kit, new ball joints (all Steeda), and a chin spoiler.
I plan on making this into a fun street-abel Autocross car and have joined a local SCC; racing starts in April. On the agenda are full-on suspension upgrades to include new control arms, k member strengtheners, camber/caster adjusters, anit-sway bars front and rear, and coil overs. I am planning on pulling the engine when the weather warms and refresh it with some new cams, PI heads, new intake manifold, and plenum/throttle body, and CAI. A tuner is a must.
This vehicle is my first Mustang; I've been a truck and Harley guy most of my life. I really love this car and intend on taking excellent care of it. Thanks for the forum and opportunity to speak to others with a passion for 'Stangs. I will post pictures soon!
