So something happened I stepped on it in a tunnel and at the end I put it in neutral and then it didn't want to go into gear. The clutch felt super soft and when I press it and try to put it in gear it doesn't go in. But when the car is off I can put the gears in without pressing the clutch. Is it the clutch cable? Or the clutch? I was able to drive it home starting it in first thanks guys for feedback this really sucks

When you start it in gear and clutch in does the car take off? Wondering if it feels like you have any clutch. If you have some I would say its the clutch but if there is nothing there it could be the cable. If its the cable you also should have no resistance on the pedal.

Yes it does take off I was able to drive it in first like that. There's some resistance there but not like before, it's not super wobbly but it it's soft. My friend said that maybe the previous owner adjusted too tight or not right an the previous owner said he had it replaced oem factory 7 months ago

I am new to the mustang, just bought a 2013 GT 500, but it sure sounds like symptoms of a hydraulic clutch that is low on fluid. My car is an automatic, so I can't use it to compare. I did have a nissan 3000 that had a hydraulic clutch, also my 1966 XKE Jag had one, same thing. Just top off the fluid and pump the pedal. If it is a cable situation, it doesn't make sense that the pedal is soft unless the cable is broken or disconnected and all you are pressing against is the pedal return spring. There is nothing wrong with your clutch, just the ability to disengage it.

I can't seem to find we're the fluid for the clutch is at. It's not on top or near the motor, it might be under maybe someone can chime in we're its at. I'm hoping its not the clutch because I just wasted some money on parts.

You didn't break anything?
Check your firewall check where it hooks up to your pedal and where it grabs the fork. It could've gutted it, like this

I started the car and was able to put the gears in now confused... Yesterday it was impossible to try to put the gears in with the clutch down. Now I can drive it but the clutch feels weird. And when shifter to 3rd the rpms stayed up high

Took the clutch cable cover off and all of this came out. Looks like I need a new clutch dam... Anyone care to chime in on a replacement clutch? Is the stock one just good

Buy a clutch for your future plans. That way you don't have to do it over in a year

I will. It's making a hissing sound and sputtering. I will order a new one ASAP just wondering what's a good replacement
