It took a big crap on it. Being as its 2 weeks old and flawless I was antsy to get it off. I didn't use enough water and pop, scratched the clear. It's a s nice dull spot nowThat sucks! Sorry that happened. If you're not familiar with using rubbing compound and wax with a buffer. I would take it to a professional care care facility and get a quote to have it done. It doesn't look like you've ruined it though. What the heck was the bird doing? Trying to hump the stang?lol
+1 I think a body shop can fix that pretty easily. I would leave it for the pros. I work with an ex body guy with 15 years exp ill show him the pic to get a pro opinion for you tomorrow.Probably a body shop will be able to fix that easily if it isn't that bad into the clear coat, wouldn't try to fix on my own tho.. Take to a good body shop
I used one of those shop towels on a roll and some water like usual. First time its done this.Did u try to wipe it off dry??
I use caranuba wax on mine and it always removes bird poop and leaves it shining
Buffing compound? I don't want to put gritted compound on it, I'm too scared since its all flawless paint. Would a clay bar work? Or meguiars scratch X?Some buffing compound should clean that up pretty easily to be honest. You can try it by hand first and see if it clears up and if it doesnt you can move on to a buffer. I had a similar thing happen to my car with a bunch of bird crap and these berries on my street and buffing compound cleared it right up. It also worked when the brush at the car wash had a pebble in it and I scratched my entire front bumper in one swipe.
Needless to say, buffing compound works wonders!
