Hello everyone! My name is Cole and I’m new to this forum. I’m hoping y’all can help me get my mustang back on the road.

I’m having issues with my 08 V6. It started with a code for high pressure at the fuel rail, which I proceeded to ignore until my car stopped running about a month later, when the car began stalling at idle.

Now the issue presents its self as follows:

Car will start and run at idle for about 2 minutes, then stall. The fuel pressure (at fuel rail) will range from 37-40 psi while idling. The fuel pressure will drop to 34psi for a split second, then peak to 72 psi, then the engine will stall.

I’ve replaced the fuel rail pressure sensor, and the fuel pump assembly, but the problem persists.

Anyone have a clue if what’s going on here?

So I am not an expert at this, I opened a basic Haynes repair manual. It has a trouble shoot on engine stalling:

1. Fuel filter clogged and/or water and impurities in fuel system.
2. Emissions system components faulty.
3. Faulty or incorrect gapped spark plugs. Also check the spark plug wires.
4. Vacuum leak at the intake manifold or vacuum hoses.
5. Fuel injection or engine control system malfunction.

I apologize, I don't have much mechanical skills. I try to teach myself. The Haynes manual had some information on what causes stalling. Hope it gives you a start?
