The Bible details the progress of the early Christian church, making THEM, the first. So according to all of you logical thinkers, the 2010 Mustang was built before the 1964 Mustang.

anyone who has read the Bible knows that catholicism was not first, but they like to say they were. it doesn't bother me; i've read the Bible.
What you seem to support is revisionism. The church was formed first by the apostles.

Is the Bible self-authenticating? If so, it would say that. Could you give me the chapter/verse for that? The truth of the matter is that while the books which were eventually included into the Christian Canon were written by the end of the 1st century, it was a matter of debate for the next 3 centuries as to which ones were to be included. And the debate was settled by the Catholic Church.

The Catholic Church came along in 33 A.D. and was severely persecuted for 300 years. Archeological evidence shows that the early Christians IN THAT TIME PERIOD were fully Catholic in practice and belief. Every Christian document written before Constantine shows they were Catholic and nothing else. The Bible was enscripturated by the 1st century, but all the books were not considered inspired and canonized until 393 A.D. Any encyclopedia will verify what I am saying here.

The Catholic Church was founded by Jesus Christ Himself as found in Matt. 16-18-19. St Peter is considered the first Pope of the Catholic Church. In other words, the Catholic Church can be traced back in history to Jesus and the Apostles. There was a controversy within the early Church as to the Divinity of Jesus. The early Bishops were ordered by Constantine in the 4th century to settle this controversy. The Bishops merely confirmed that Jesus is God and that the Trinity is the explanation of how it is possible. It was made an infallible declaration that God is and has always been Trinity.

The "original" Church is the one founded by Christ, who gathered together in the Upper Room after Jesus' ascension to Heaven. While praying together - all 120 of them - they received POWER to proclaim the Gospel to the end of the earth.
And the Church still does so today.
p.s: EKKLESIA is the word for Church in Greek, which is derived via ek-kaleo, used for the summons to the army to assemble, from kaleo, to call. Therefore the Christian "Church" is the assembly of those called by Christ.

The Catholic church is the only one who says they they were the first Church. Originally there were no denominations, you were either Christian or you weren't.

The Roman Emperor Constantine produced the bible and he was a pagan not god!!! He took the Jewish religion and basing it on the Mithras religion, organized it into Christianity and then into the Holly Roman Catholic Church!! Not in Israel or any of the countries of supposed origin but entirely ITALIAN!
Not one word of it is contemporary with the period and was not written until several hundred years after the period the story is set in!! How did the apostles write their books more than a hundred years after they would have been dead?

Catholic church is not the original, it's the coptic orthodox church of Armenia & Ethiopia who accepted christianity as their official religion in 300 AD.
Not that I care who is original or not but this is the truth!

The Gnostics predate the Roman Catholic Church, but the RCC turned Christianity into Paulianity in the 4th century. It has been Paulianity ever since.
