I just got a 1973 Mustang Fastback with a 351 ci two barrel and I'd like to know how to do a burnout in one.

idealy:install a line-lock for the rear brakes. hold down the brake and hit the gas. (oil under the tire will help is spin better and smoke more.


about a line-lock: a line-lock is a simple device the releases the pressure on the rear brakes allowing them to freely move. You can do a burnout without one but you will be fighting the friction of your rear breaks.

Why waste the unrenewable gasoline, burn up your tires to cause air pollution not to mention the exhaust pollution from your stupidity, and wear out your engine and powertrain??????

Don't do it. it is illegal, wastage of gas, possible damage, need new tires....in conclusion, you will lose.

put in first. hold brake with left foot. give gas with right, when the tires starts burning go up to 2nd. after you burn off all the tread, get new tires.
