ok well im buying a 01 mustang gt and i want to know how would i figure out if its a real mustang gt would the tittle say 2001 ford mustang gt or what idk i just want to know if its a gt not a v6 any ways to know if its a gt besides looking at the vin# then google it

the best way to tell from just looking at it is just check and see if its duel exhaust if so most likely a gt..although could be aftermartket v6 but this works 90 pecent the time

sound is a diff even if the v6 has exhaust

and if u can just look at the engine it should say and u should be able to tell

Carfax the vin, it should say. 2001 FORD MUSTANG GT

If it doesn't even show it as a GT it is not! Because i just tested one to see if it would show and yes! Without purchasing the CARFAX it will tell you if it is or not! LOl your avatar looks like mine.

look at the engine, drive it, listen to it, dual exhaust, badged as GT, 17 inch wheels and z-rated tires. If it's fast and loud it's a GT.

carfax the vin if u cant tell by driving it and checking it over closely!
