I have the original fomoco carburetor for my 1964 1/2 straight 6 2.8 liter , 170 cu in engine mustang. I have never re-built it before and want to keep it original or replace it with something.. What do you prefer??

Most carburetor repair kits come with an instruction sheet. Rebuild it. With a little bit of your own memory and a instruction sheet you are home free. I have done it several times myself.

I prefer to rebuild it. The kit shouldn't cost that much, if they're still available. Those old carbs are very simple to work on.

Don't replace it, unless it's physically broken.

BTW, do you really need to rebuild it? Something wrong with it? Just wonderin'.
