I think the company SCT make a module that can take this off. I know here in Australia a company called "CAPA" sells flash boxes that use software that can disable it. CAPA boxes are supplied Direct from the USA by SCT. You have to have your car professionally tuned though.

The box can change 1000's of parameters from air / fuel ratio to gear shift patterns. It was the XR6T owners hail from heaven.

if you are talking about the top speed limiter u have to buy a chip costing around 300 dollars

no specific chip just a performance chip..but itll get u power too

Hard programmed into PCM - you will need a reprogram or other self programming device to modify the strategy in the PCM.
