Fortunately Ford kept extremely good records of these cars and they still exist. You can actually find out how many red coupes had a 390 and AM/FM radio or any combination of items you can imagine. Kevin Marti of Marti Autoworks entered into an agreement with Ford to make all of this information available to the public. You can purchase a book called "Mustang by the numbers" or you can order either a Marti report on a specific vehicle or ask a specific question about a group of vehicles (depending on how much you want to spend, you can get any combinations of questions you want answered). To answer your specific question, there were 7878 1967 Mustang Hardtop Coupes built with a 390 engine. There are specific websites that deal with these cars: http://www.1967mustang.com/ and http://www.scodemustang.com/ Hawkrod
Ford didnt keep up with the number of engines produced in those years
472,121 total 1967 mustangs
71,042 were fastbacks
44,808 were convetibles.
ONLY GT Models came with a 390.
