If all you are doing is putting on is the power brake booster with no other changes. all you need is the Brake Power Booster/w master cylinder assembly. [email protected]

Ford used the same wheel cylinders for both power and non power brakes.

You will need to modify the brake line running to the master cylinder, and install the vacuum line and fitting in to the intake manifold. no more than $50 for these parts.

PS ignore that 15 pounds of vacuum comment above. Your engine will do just fine. Nothing on earth can pull 15 psig of vacuum.

If you want power DISC brakes and the car is drum,You might get
lucky and find a disc equipped 'stang in a junkyard and get the parts,
or even the whole car for $500 or so...
If the car is a drum brake car, you can get a vacuum assist power drum setup by just adding the vacuum canister and a carburetor with
a power brake vacuum port. Those can be found in alot of older
Ford cars sitting around. Just bolt on and hook up a vacuum line.
$150 tops used. If you want all new parts,granted the cost will be
much more...Probably close to $600 to $1000 depending the type
of application. (disc or drum). Good Luck!

Vacuum comes off the intake manifold, not the carb, it's easy to add a connection. You will need 15 pounds of engine vacuum pressure at idle.

It's really not that hard if you've already been twisting wrenches on your ride. Make sure you follow the directions included with the unit regarding bleeding the master cylinder prior to installation.

New or used? New would be expensive, used can be done very reasonable, it depends on your mechanical skills..

check Ebay.com for both new and used parts. Lots of ebayers are parting out old Mustangs..
