Well it wouldn't be carbon dioxide being the filter sucks in fresh air. The tube comes right off the intake tube after the filter. Many have did this since the mustang was released. But yet it does nothing for outside of the car.

Some to include me have deleted the sound tube completely.

I did as well ... I was so happy that my JLT intake included a cap for this, I just wish it also came with a grommet. I get an occasional whistle through the hole in the firewall that can be annoying.

Go autozone they have firewall/hole caps you can get for a dollar or so to plug it.

Wow, not only did I waste my time watching that piece of crap video...I'm sitting overseas and had to wait for it to load which was even longer than the video. All to find out that if I remove some filters I can hear the engine louder in the cabin. WTH...and they didn't even show a before and after of how loud it gets. Even more depressing is that I'm spending time to write more than a sentence on this. I want others to hear my Mustang louder...

When I first got my car I was itching to do something to it. I saw a similar video and decided to try it. In my sound tube there were two foam ear plug type plugs that I removed. I pulled those out and retained the rubber diaphragm. All it does is allow the cabin noise level to increase. It is a lot louder and does sound better, but I would not consider this a mod; it's like calling window tint a mod. Now that I have exhaust, I can't say whether I even notice the sound plugs being removed; all I hear is exhaust. It is the kind of thing one does while waiting on parts to arrive. I didn't watch the attached video, but I am pretty sure I know the one you are referring to; I agree, that guy is a tool...
