This is what I have:
In the beginning of Pay it Forward, Chris, a young journalist, is reporting at the scene of a crime when his 1965 Ford Mustang is hit and totaled. A stranger comes up to him and gives him keys to a new Jaguar S-Type car for free. Chris questions the stranger’s generosity and questions the motive of this man. According to Thomas Foster’s book, How to Read Literature Like a Professor, the fog symbolizes the confusion of the character, Chris.
