It has the straight 6, factory A/C, automatic transmission, console, 42,000 original miles, original interior, one repaint of original color and aftermarket Dayton spoke wheels. Also has and Alpine in dash CD with Sony speakers. Best of all, it's an original Southern California (now in Western AZ) car so it's had no rust ever.

What should I ask for it?

Do you have proof verifying the the mileage? It's hard to believe it has that few miles, most of these have turned the odo over a time or two.. If you can, that will help... With that few miles, it should look like a new car..and you should be able to get $10k out of it.. try the Classic Auto Trader, Ford and Mustang edition.. even Ebay can bring you the bucks..

if it looks shiny and runs well and no major problems you can easily get 8Gs maybe even 14G i seen in the mustang autotrader but only thing i could see that someone will point out is that ur stereo isnt the orginal one, they have the secert stereo under teh seat to so you could kep everything orginal, my dad has a 64 stang but needs some work but it runs well!

Keep in mind it has the straight six and not the 289 V8. It will bring significantly less money than a V8 of the same year. I would imagine if it is in the shape you say it is 8K is a little high but you shouldn't have a real problem getting that for it since there is no rust.

This is probably a nice car, but not a rare one.A 6 banger automatic is not exactly a hot rod either. It's not original with the aftermarket wheels and the Alpine stereo. My guess is in the $5,000 range.
Good Luck !
