Like most cars, each make and model has a special following. Your Mustang is kind of the "bastard child" of all the Stangs.
Oddly enough, the entire front suspensions of the cars you have mostly found their way onto "Hot Rods" 3 window and 5 window Ford Coupes from the 1930's. It was a quick way to get disc brakes and modern suspension onto a 1930's car.
To get the most money for your car, find some one that collects this genre of Mustangs.
They will most likely give you the most generous amount of money out of anyone that would buy it. Car clubs for most makes of cars are generally in all regions of the country if not necessarily in your city.
Everyone else that you tell what kind of car it is will look at you like you just stepped off of a freakin' spaceships. You will have to listen to dumb $h1t like.
"Duh, that's not a 5.0"
"Duh, what is that? A hot rod Pinto?"
The list goes on. Trust me. I have stock Taurus SHOs that are faster than stock Mustangs from their era.
"Duh, it's just a Taurus"
See there they go again! Dang!
