You don't create a soundstage in front of you by adding speakers behind you. There is a very small gain by adding rear speakers, which is outweighed heavily by all the phasing problems you introduce. At best your rear speakers are doing nothing (90* out of phase), at worse they are cancelling out your sound (180*.)
