Get pictures cause you might just be talking about the bracket that the rear seats attach to.

bah, 6x8 vs 6x9 is not a big difference that you would notice. esp not being in the front of the car with the rear speakers being 6x9. It's not worth cutting metal for.

The only thing you don't get with a 5x7/6x8 compared to the 6x9 is more of a choice with the 2-way, 3-way, 4-way, or even 5-way speaker.

No he had a hatch back eagle talon, but I figured that There is too much power goin to the interior speakers if i turn it up they crack ,so im lookin for a good equalizer

Then upgrade your facotry speakers. It will make a hell of a difference. My Kicker K57s added all the bass I need. (I'm not gettin subs by the way.)

If you want more bass, I suggest getting rid of a bandpass box. All they are good for is making a really crappy sub sound good.

I think you would be happy with a 10" Kicker Comp VR in a vented box like Brent used to have until he over powered it.

Rear speakers are pointless.
